QUEER TIME (ASYMPTOTES OF ARTICULATION)

October 2022

Risographed foldable zine

11x17 (unfolded), 2.75” x 4.25” (folded)

First edition of 30
Second edition of 80
My first attempt at the articulation of the concept I called queer time was this zine. Made to be rearranged, repositioned, and recontextualized by the viewer, it aimed to communicate the fluid and highly personal nature of this concept.

On one side, using a purely image-based vernacular, I focused on the hazy, blury, overlapping and transparent nature of queer time. Nothing can be entirely identified, this is on purpose.

On the reverse, using the visual language of sentence mapping, I lay out the connection between many disparate concepts and ideas that I saw as vaguely connected to the idea at hand.

After the initial edition of 30, a second edition of 80 copies was published by nico fontana in November 2022. Available for purchase at Printed Matter both online and in store at their Chelsea location.
